Since Treasury Holdings first visited China in 2002, it spent the following years establishing contacts and enhancing its knowledge of the dynamics of the property market, bridging the cultural gap and building up “guanxi” - the Chinese term for personal relationships, trust and respect. In 2005, Treasury Holdings opened an office in Shanghai and there is now currently a team of 60 people. Ronghua is a Representative and Political Adviser to Treasury Holdings’ Shanghai office. Previously he was Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Iceland. Aside from his diplomatic career, he served as General Manager of two state-owned companies and has previously worked as a Vice President in Shanghai Institute of International Finance for two years.

Simon joined THCL with over 20 years of international property development experience. A qualified Chartered Surveyor (RICS) he specializes in delivering major mixed use projects. Following 8 years in Dubai where he was responsible for some of the region's most successful retail led mixed use schemes for a leading development organization, Simon spent two and a half years with an international investment and private equity firm in Bahrain establishing their development portfolio. This included the award winning 'Bahrain Bay' waterfront scheme, valued at US$2 billion.

   
Richard Ding - General Counsel 
Richard is the General Counsel of Treasury Holdings China and joined in June 2007. In this position, Richard has responsibility for all legal matters for Treasury Holdings China. Prior to joining Treasury Holdings, Richard was Director of Strategy, Corporate Transactions & Legal Affairs for Visteon Corporation’s Asia Pacific operations, a leading global automotive global supplier. Richard has extensive experience in the area of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and venture investment, with a focus on cross-border transactions in or involving Asia Pacific. Richard is a Graduate of Columbia University of Law and is admitted to the New York State Bar.
