Central Plaza, People’s Square, Shanghai

Central Plaza is a 23-storey office and retail podium located within the heart of Shanghai CBD, in close proximity to the city's metro and expressway networks. The building was completed in 1998 and due to its excellent location overlooking the Grand Theatre and Peoples' Square, has enjoyed near-full occupation ever since. Each office floor provides some 1,700 sqm of space and the building has 128 car parking spaces housed within two basements.

Central Plaza has undergone a major renovation to its office common areas, office toilets, and lift lobbies.  The remainder of the refurbishment work (atrium area, podium interior, external podium facade, rear entrance, and external landscape areas) is on track to be completed as scheduled for 2009. This redesign by Aedas is expected to offer a new and modern high-quality environment to the building's valued commercial and retail tenants.
